The Caves (“Grottoes”) of Santarcangelo di Romagna

In November 2020, new archeological surveys were carried out to learn more about the underground caves and tunnels in Santarcangelo di Romagna. This initiative is part of a historical and geological study undertaken by the Emilia-Romagna Region in collaboration with the Geosites of Emilia-Romagna project. The study focuses on conserving and enhancing our unique existing underground network.
